Project Summary
The present project is the continuation of the project
“Labor Market Policy in the Context of Globalization: Informal Employment”.
The focal point of the present project is directed at the investigation of factors, which inspire, or on the contrary, suppress the “proper” work creation in economy. Significant stage in realization of this project will be the determination and operationalization of the notion “proper work”. The results of the informal employment in Russia study will be used in the present project. Additionally, on the base of secondary micro data analysis there will be studied the probability of work on the “proper workplace” according to various socio-demographic and economic characters of the respondents. On the base of panel survey there also will be studied the transitions between “proper works” employment and other labor market positions. Micro-analysis will be supplied by the descriptive contextual analysis of macro-factors, which may affect the availability of work in economy.
April 27-28, 2006: A workshop of the participants of the international project was held in New Delhi, India.
O. Sinyavskaya presented the interim report on the results of the study of the dynamics "goos" and "bad" jobs in Russia.
See presentation of the report.
